About the Director General

David McMillan became Director General of EUROCONTROL, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, on 1 January 2008. He has been involved with transport issues, both national and international, for over twenty years.

The Director General is responsible for the management of the Agency, EUROCONTROL's executive body. He can put proposals to the decision-making bodies of the Agency concerning European air traffic management developments and agreements with States or international organisations.

David McMillan took over from Victor M. Aguado, who was Director General of EUROCONTROL from 2001 to 2007.
